Honestly, i don't have a problem, i import the scanned folder into my playout drive library, and all the keys are present, either using the comment field, or using the tag & rename feature in MIK

if i wanted the bpm readout however, then it's a case of scanning the newly imported files.. :-(
 
Why is it when you find something technical that you like using, people wanna make comments like that makes u less than a dj. And make stupid comments like "Very funny, it could be in key, but a crappy song." Im not a beginner dj, im a dj i can take all that info including my ear and choose the right song...oh wait a minute im a dj i do practice for different sets. I also like software and i like certain things software does. I was rocking parties at 14 and im still rocking parties at 41.

And some of us are single custodial parents with a son in private school..so a bargain at any corner is good for me. Hell Virtual dj price was a reason i purchased it.

Only thing is if you do this now with new music it will work for you. I am just getting to this now after I have started my collection and I am now going through fixing it.

Yeah this will reload all tags including key and energy level with the option to put it in the two custom fields.

I tried this last night I don't think it was working out so well but I went through all my folders and reloaded all the tags and it looked ok. I wasn't really sure of the whole step by step process so can you clairify that in your help thread?
I am assuming this is how it goes:
Check - Fix - Clean your database
open the program
pick you database file. - I wasn't sure what file to pick so I went into my VDJ folder and picked the one that said data base.
Choose all your options like over ride key for me.
click PLAY
It finished and said Have Fun - Nice touch by the way

- At this point I figured as soon as I open VDJ it should be corrected but I guess not? Is this where you would Batch Reload Tags for all your music?

So I ran a batch reload for everything I could and most of the songs showed up with the Key and BPM in the comments but not all of them. M.I.K couldn't figure out a few of the songs that I have either.

Does that about sum it up?
