I'm running the latest version of Virtual DJ on a PC, and have a subscription to Content Unlimited.
I recently purchased a new laptop, and I'm getting everything set up. I browsed to my music hard drive, right-clicked on the root folder, and selected "Add to Search DB". VDJ appeared to index the files.
When I go to the Search Box, and enter a search term, nothing on my local hard drive shows up. The only content that I see is from Content Unlimited. I would presume that any local files would show first.
In Config, under Browser, "Show Cloud List" is the only item that is not checked. And, in the list "search_options", I have "Show PreListen" and "Show Music" enabled.
I went to one folder, that had music in it, and added it to the DB. Then I searched and nothing shows.
I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

Check your file permissions (ownerships).

Make sure the Search options look like that..

If it still doesnt provide search results, check folder permissions for the Virtualdj folder. Is your music on an external or internal Hard Drive ?

What's the search term?
If you're searching for (e.g.) a comment and the comment option (as pictured above) is not ticked then you'll get no results - unless that particular string appears in a title (or whichever terms you have selected in the above menu).
