I had an AMD Lappy and its giving me some problems. Ok i was offered a sony VIAO. Now Im see the vestax doesnt support that. It mentions an conflict with motion eye webcam. Has anyone had any success with sony VAIO and VCI-400. Could this be as simple as disabling the webcam all together. Cause this is a Nice Laptop for Free.

it's probably just the soundcard.. I was able to use the midi no problems with my old amd lappy and an atom netbook, but the soundcard didn't work.

Could this be as simple as disabling the webcam all together

there's only one way to find out, but I would hold little hope for the soundcard as the drivers are probably only made for intel motherboards

I think you misunderstood the problem. It isn't with AMD motherboards. Vestax claims on their site that their controllers are not compatible with Sony VAIO computer due to conflicts with the webcam. I looked around long and hard for a solution to this as I'm thinking about getting a VCI-400 and one of my systems is a Sony, but haven't been able to find any information.
Unfortunately for us, I think if it was as easy as disabling the driver Vestax would be telling people to do that.
