Attempting to bypassing the encryption/copyright protection of music from Spotify and playing these files unofficially outside of Spotify is illegal. These file are only licensed for personal playback within Spotify. Using them for public DJ performance is illegal and you and your could may face prosecution if caught.
Posting information on illegal activity such as how to bypass copyright protection schemes is not permitted in the VirtualDJ forums. DO NOT post information like this again or you will be banned and your account will be locked.
Please support the artists and music industry by purchasing the music that you use for DJ'ing legally. If you are a working DJ then these sources must be legal for DJ use (E.g: A DJ pool service such as PromoOnly, ContentUnlimited, etc.)
You will also need to purchase VirtualDJ to use it for commercial purposes such as at gigs where you are being paid. If you like VirtualDJ, then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it.
VirtualDJ does not support playing music from Spotify because this service is not for DJ use or public performance. It's for private personal use only. For a similar DJ service, you can sign up to our ContentUnlimited subscription service.
