I'm new to digital DJing, and looking to get into Virtual DJ.
Ok, what equipment do you recommend? I'd like to have full control of VDJ off of the laptop. So I'm guessing the best way to do this would be with a midi controller.
I'm not looking to scratch, so I presume jog wheels aren't required. But I'd need faders, EQs, pitch control, effect buttons and some other way of nudging the track (like you would with a jog wheel). I'd like to mash up various genres of music, and add loops/effects. I was thinking of a 2 channel setup, but not sure if this would be enough if I wanted to add loops/effects while 2 tracks are in the mix, and still have fader/eq control over the loops?
Recommendations? Open to other suggestions if there's a better solution.

First, Welcome!
Have you looked at the Hardware section of what VDJ supports in Products? Excellent selection of controllers to choose from with features and prices listed. You can also see most of them in action on YouTube.
Good luck!

Weather you want to scratch or not Jog wheels are handy for nudging and beat matching. You will be hard pressed to find a controller that doesn't have jog wheels. Look at this link from Digital DJ Tips and they have a 2014 controller guide on the same page as their second video. Match them up with what works with VDJ and find one that at least comes with VDJ LE.
