What would be the action i would need to type to get a button to cycle through the effects.

if you want to press the button to cycle through use this:
effect select +1
if you want it to cycle while you hold the button use this:
repeat 500ms 500ms & effect select +1
if you want it to cycle faster change the red number, the second number is the delay before it will automatically cycle, this allows you to press the button and have it only change once with each press.
