i have been downloading tracks to my laptop and transferring them to vdl but it seems to be stuck at 1600 is there a limit sorry if this sounds thick

VDJ Doesn't store Tracks, Your Hard drive does. The bigger the HD, The More tracks you can store.
 
did you use the internal bowser of vdj ?...this might be the issue. just add the tracks for example with the ms explorer, then open vdj, scan tracks, add to db and it will be fine. friend of mine added 15 000 tracks at once following that method
