I DJ regularly and I often play fairly long sets of 6 hours or more.
I am finding that after a few hours of playing I start to get pops and other audio issues as if the latency is too low for my pc. I have run DPC latency checker and turned off everything I dont need for DJing.
I only play audio and usually have the video section disabled.
Does anyone know why this might be? does data stack up on the RAM? Am I just expecting too much?
My equipment:
Toshiba Satellite Laptop
i3 3GHz Dual Core CPU
4GB RAM
Music on external HD (Powered and sent over USB 2)
Windows 7 64bit
This machine is for DJing only, has no antivirus or office applications.
Denon MC3000 control using latest ASIO Drivers (I have noticed that this uses 48KHz rather than 44.1)
Latency is set to 11ms
Any ideas?

I would suggest that with a 64 bit OS, you'd benefit from more RAM.
However, I suspect that the root cause of your audio blips is the Denon ASIO driver and/or the 44.1 to 48kHz upsampling.
Have you tried using the normal Windows WDM driver for the MC3000 instead? I know this was a fix for users of the MC6000.
