Just bought a used RMX ,and can't reset the factory settings , the controller was mapped to things I don't want,any ideas as to why?

because you you may are resetting the program no the controller in order to do that you have to delete the controller mapping this is how
go to this folder
Document/VirtualDJ/Mappers
if you have more then one controller mapping select the correct one and delete them open virtual dj and the controller should be reset to the factory settings, so you can start a new one in the way you need

Excellent,what I was doing is going into the config tab and hitting the return to factory settings tab,but no work,so I will try the other way.

So I tried documents/virtual dj/mapping and there is nothing there,I am wondering if the factory setting changed,cause my other rmx is set to factory settings but are different than the new one.....any thoughts?

The map is not stored on the device, its within vdj.
If you don't like the map, you can change it, but my guess is that the factory default is loading when it sees the rmx.
There are other mappers also you can download if you don't want to modify the default one.
