Is it possible to map keys to set the rating on the active deck or browsed track? I tried using set "rating" 1, that didn't work.
I thought that would be the variable name since that is what is used with filter folders. Looking through the verbs list in the wiki I see a few verbs calling "stars"? Is this what I should be trying? I won't be able to test until tomorrow. Hopefully someone has found this already.

A workaround (but definitely not exactly what you have asked for )....
If you need to add rating to your music library, you could create Virtual folders (e.g. 1 Star, 2 stars..etc), then each time you need to rate any of your tracks, just drop any files to those Virtual Folders.
Once you gather all tracks you need to provide stars, select them all from the Virtual folders, rightclick..File Info and give your rating. Works for batch (apply to all)

I was thinking about trying that. It doesn't seem to be to much different then using my hot key to open the file info and using the slider. Plus, if I want to rate the song that's in the deck, and I have moved on in the browser, I would have to search for it before dragging it. It's not a big deal or a game changer. Just a little time saver.
Thank you as well

If you sent up a shortcut to just "file_info" it will show the active deck.
or you can use "deck 1 file_info" or "deck 2 file_info" rather than having to browse for the song again.

Agreed, that's what I have now. I'm not sure why that didn't enter my mind when I was talking about browsing for the song again.
