Hello,
I use a custom volume-leveling procedure for my music, embedding the result as ReplayGain values. (db levels) I am not expecting Virtual DJ 7 to utilize these values, however, when I adjust the track's gain value to that of what I have determined them to be, I am getting unexpected results. Some tracks play a lot louder than expected, some quieter.
Ultimately I want VirtualDJ to play back music at the same volume as foobar2000, which is at the RG value I've set each track at, for example, a song with -4.5db ReplayGain value plays back at -4.5db, as such I've set Volume Headroom to 0db, Auto Gain is set to "Remember" and the limiter is disabled. I don't touch the crossfader and leave it centered. So when I would set this theoretical track's gain to -4.5db in VirtualDJ, I would expect it to play back at the same volume as if it were played in foobar2000, but this is not the case.
What am I doing wrong here? Is there some behavior in the background going on that is going to prevent me from getting what I want to achieve here?

As I often do, I will provide my own solution after quite a bit of trial and error...
If I apply the difference of my custom ReplayGain level to the db level displayed by VirtualDJ while the gain slider is at 50%, I practically get what I want. And fortunately VDJ remembers where I set each track so I don't have to manually do it every time.
