Topic: Last nights gig

I did a gig lastnight major problem Vci400 windows 7 ultimate. Ok VDJ disconnected my controller 5 times have to restart the program.

Valid questions. I would add, did you try a second USB cable?
 
also it could be a faulty usb port or a damaged power supply.

Happened to me friday night it was my powered usb'
 
No power adaptors required. These is the kind I used (x2) on my Mac.
They never failed me even once.
I got mine from Staples (Canada).
 
different cable for todays gig, disconnected once, restarted the program but it didnt lock back in until i turned the controller off and on then it connected....V7 never disconnect me. I dont use any type of hub..gotta 1tb drive in laptop so just lappy and controller. Always using the same port. Disconnects my M70 mixer also. Different port different cable.
 
Maybe try lowering the skin FPS in 8.

It's been reported that 8 uses more CPU, and that the skin FPS contributes to it - so maybe lowering FPS
would solve the disconnection issue by taking some of the stress off the system.
 
Are you seeing disconnects in practice?

Got A small park jam tomorrow gonna test Traktor for about an hour, then go to VDJ8 and see if i like one over the other. will update after.
 
try another pc to..
 
I've been running v8 for weeks with a vci-300 and haven't had any major issues
