can i make a command where the folders on left on show when im scrolling through them when i choose a folder start scrolling through tracks it goes away

Try ' browser_enter ' or perhaps ' browser_folder ', possibly the first one.

Oh hang on you want the treeview to vanish, erm possible but how do you want to make it reappear

I think locodog feels me.

See one is open tree one is closed tree. on both my mixer and controller i can switch back and forth between folder tree and track selection. So is there away to make it when i do these switch back and forth it opens and closes with as i switch.

Interesting that it can be scripted...

So is it possible to have the side panels open when that area is moused over, as they used to do in VDJ 7?
 
in a way, yes.
show_splitpanel 'splitname' on|off (or nothing will just toggle), can close open any of the split panels of the Browser and any <split> panels that a skin may have. The names that the default Browser uses (for splits) are the ones you see on the vertical buttons/labels.
 
see these are the things that keep me a fan of virtual dj. So is this possible i have a knob mapped to switch thru my sample sets. Can it be mapped to open when i scroll to another set and close after a sec or 2 with no activity
