Just purchased a Numark edge and I tried to use it with VDJ7 and it wouldn't work.....Any suggestions?
I do have VDJ8 now and it works with that however a deal popped up and said "with your license you can only use the Edge for 10 min"
With the VDJ license I have I assumed it would work a lot longer than that

You have to be on 7.4.1 for the Numark Edge to work

Oh right on thanks
I'll keep using it with VDJ8 though....I've got about a week before my next gig so I'll keep messing with it to get it all figured out

Please ensure that you are logged into VirtualDJ v8 otherwise it will run in Home FREE mode, which will only allow controllers to be tried out for 10 minutes at a time.
You will need an active Internet connection to be able to log in.

So if I don't have an internet connection I won't be able to use v8?
I hope that's not the case because there have been times where I'm DJing I don't a connection

Don't worry, you can still use VDJ 8 without a connection.
Once you've logged in and the license file has been created, that file will stay there until you log out again - so if you start up VDJ 8 and it can't find a connection, it'll just read the file and start up as it did previously.
You can also keep a backup copy of that file in a safe place and put it into the directory should you find yourself in a jam.
