Hey everyone. My son is big into EDM and he's ready to take the next step into DJing. Unfortunately, I don't have the experience to know how to get him into it best. But to start, we jumped on a couple good deals on Amazon for controllers. Now we have to choose between the two of them, and cancel/return the other.
So here's the question... these two are close to the same price, so assuming money isn't an issue, which would you choose?

He'll be connecting it all to a Mac. I know we'll have to get a software DJ program, like Virtual DJ. (Thus why I came here!)
Is there anything we're missing to get him going? Thanks!

My experience with Behringer DJ gear has not been a positive one. I would suggest steering clear of it. The RMX, and all Hercules controllers for that matter, have been rock solid performers for a lot of users. Both advanced and beginner. I own an RMX and an RMXII. Both are real good units I would highly recommend. No experience with the Akia stuff. Can't give you an opinion on it. Good luck to both you, and your son.
