Topic: VIDEO LAG WHEN SCROLLING THROUGH DATABASE

Hi,
every once and a while when I do a search, my video lags when I scroll through my music on that search. It lags on the external monitor (connected with HDMI) as well as the waveform on the screen lags as well.
This never happened on VDJ7. It is now happening since I upgraded to VDJ8.

Here's my set-up:
Samsung chromos 7
Windows 7 pro
Quad core i7 processor
8 gigs of ram
Dual video cards (hd 4000 and ati with 1g dedicated) (I set it up so virtual points to the ati dedicated card)
5tb external hard drive for music
7tb external hard drive for videos
Numark NS6 controller

have you thought about shutting down back ground processes? there is also a add-on that can make it run better. look in the other sections also, you can come back into support and then het live help during the week.
 
Thanks for your response tycoon. I think I figured it out. I had already optimized the laptop for audio. What I ended up doing was update the video drivers directly from ATI's website because samsung's drivers were from 2012 and those were the latest they offer. On ATI's website in was able to get drivers from December 2014. I kept the force full screen setting set to 1. I also made sure my settings were set right by configuring the ATI video card to virtualdj 8 and directx. Now when I scroll the database the external monitor does not lag. The computer screen sometimes does but I'm ok with that.
