i've been playing about with remapping the keyboard, i mapped the number keys to select video effects , one effect to each key and another key to activate/deactivate the fx, that all works fine except when i want to use multiple fx, problem is if i activate one fx then select another fx to activate the first one deactivates, i can activate multiple fx using the mouse with no probs but can't get it to work with mapped keys. i know this is just a vdj script issue, but after searching the forums and wiki i can't find a solution, any help from you guys would be appreciated. i'm using windows 8.1 with vdj8 latest update. thanks again.

The difference is in the effect_select vs effect_select_multi actions.

hi adion, thanks for your reply, but your suggestion didn`t work with video fx. basically all idid is map keys eg: numb key 1 mapped to videofx_select "videocube" to select that fx with key 1 and so on upto key 9, i then mapped another key to videofx to activate/ deactivate the fx, what i need is for the fx to stay activated even after i select another until i reselect it and deactivate it, i think your suggestion works fine with audio fx , unless i am diong something wrong lol: this way of mapping worked fine with vdj7 but with v8 i am having problems

There is indeed no videofx_select_multi, however you can use
deck master effect_select_multi "video" "videocube"
This will select the videocube effect in the master video effect slot.
deck master effect_select_multi "video" "videocube"
This will select the videocube effect in the master video effect slot.

Stalkker, use video_fx 'effect name' to map the key, e.g., video_fx 'milkdrop8', etc.. I do the same: map keys for specific video effect and activate multi effects simultaneously (by the keys). Deactivate by pressing the key again.

thanks for the responses adions suggestion doesn't quite work for me altough its basically the same as vdjeddie's suggestion, gonna have to go with that for the time being as it is only for home use, only prob is remembering which effect is on which key lol: I was hoping to be able to go through the effects to find the one i want before activating/deactivating.
Strange i can do it with the mouse and my controller (mc6000) but not be able to map the the keys to do the same, worked fine with vdj7.2. Ahh well maybe one of the dev team might read this and put in another update. thanks again guys
