Ok I'm frustrated real frustrated, for all I love about VDJ it's the standard stuff that just a big fail. Ok I'm missing with bpm editor to set my cbg properly. But when I set the grid makers it doesn't correct the cbg.. Seems like it offsets the grid. So further down the track the cbg Still drifts off. So just in case it's user error can someone tell me if it's me of the software.

Try hitting the variable button and then set your grid.
Took me a while to get a handle on this but now it takes me about 30 seconds to edit the grid. I still struggle with transition tracks every now and then but for the most part it works well.
For a final text I'll play a drum loop in the sampler along with the track, the drum loop should stay in sync with the track no matter how big of change with the bpm.

For most tracks you don't need a grid with multiple point though.
To make it as accurate as possible:
1. Move the beatgrid anchor to the start of the beat (zoom in as much as possible to get it as accurate as possible)
2. Now move towards the end of the track, and see if the grid is drifting. If it is, move your mouse over a beat, and you'll see you can move it. This will change the bpm, and you'll see the other beats moving with it.
3. Continue moving to the end of the track.
If the track has a fixed single bpm, the grid should now be aligned perfectly from start to end.
If it does not have a single bpm, move to where you see the grid drifting, and add a second beat anchor, then repeat starting from the second anchor.

So why doesn't setting beat grid anchor 1 at down beat and beat grid anchor 2 at the snare.. That should set it properly since it's metronome based. So I have to set anchors through out the track. This must change. I don't have to do that in any other software. Setting the distance between beat 1 and beat 2 should calculate the bpm and set the grid. Maybe as 8 matures this simple core necessities will be ironed out.
Update.. Ok since I am using orange juice skin I not the cbg is of 90% of the time (that includes bpm being right but out of phase) there are white grid lines that seem to be correct... With the new update he bless me with, the cbg is completely removed but the white vertical grid lines set properly on the down beat of each bar(90‰) of the time.

If your track is all the same bpm since it's metronome based, you should only need 1 beat anchor, and fine-tune the bpm as I explained in the first part of my previous post.
If this doesn't work, let me know the name of the track so I can try here.
Edit: Although it is fine to adjust the bpm by aligning the grid of just the first anchor and the second beat, it is almost impossible to adjust it accurately enough that it will fit the entire track perfectly.
Even if you move it accurate up to 1 pixel when fully-zoomed in, it is still likely that this causes a little drift towards the end of the track.
It is much easier and more accurate to adjust the grid near the end of the track.

Another question, how do I stop VDJ from adding all those poi's because I'm always deleting them and it getting on my nerves
Inviato Sun 22 Feb 15 @ 6:03 pm
Probably you re referring to the Automix Points. Those are automatically added/calculated by VirtualDJ once the track is analyzed.
You can't delete them (nor modify them), but you may use the "Show All" option from the POI Editor, in case you dont want them to be displayed.

How do I script setting anchors and adjusting the grid to keyboard shortcuts
Inviato Sun 22 Feb 15 @ 8:13 pm
You could use 'set_firstbeat' to set the first beatgrid anchor, and 'set_bpm +0.01', 'set_bpm -0.01' to fine-tune the bpm.

Since I have some attention, how can I map the colors my leds are capable of...
Inviato Mon 23 Feb 15 @ 1:50 pm
You will also get our attention (as all users get) if you open a new thread with a more appropriate title and offer some more information about the controller you are using ;)
