Hi there!
I'm happily using VDJ8 and ShowExpress/Sweetlight for DMX.
I would like to fire off MIDI signals when playing certain tracks automatically from VDJ.
Most good DMX software will use MIDI to fire actions (scenes/chases etc) and use of software to route MIDI over Ethernet would allow VDJ to give a great lightshow.
I can't find any plugins to do this (MIDI master), but wanted to check this wasn't something native to VDJ and I'm simply not finding it.
If this is possible,the sequence would be;
1. Pick song, use POI (or other?) to set MIDI outputs during the song (the outputs would do things like change gobos/colours/motion)..
2. Route MIDI to my DMX Laptop via TCP/IP.
3. Configure MIDI in on DMX Software (this works, I've tried using my DDJ-SX as a MIDI controller... a bit overkill, but it works..lol)
4. On the performance, play the tunes and DMX control is automatic and precise for those key songs (1st Dance etc)
I do know there was an old Plugin for Sweetlight/The Lighting Controller/ShowExpress, but I can't see how this would work with VDJ8.
Thanks, Jason

There's no easy or direct way to do this at the moment.
Action POI's could be used to set variables however, and these variables could in turn be read by some custom plugin, or by a custom midi mapper to send specific midi commands.
