Topic: VDJ8 only works when logged in.

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have vdj 8 on two lap tops, one permanently at home and one I take out on the road. Luckily we were testing the new sound system at the club and as it wasn't connected to the net it would only work for 10mins. The club does have wifi but its patchy, I'm I missing something here. Does Vdj have to be connected/logged in to work properly.

Once logged in everything works fine.

Yes, VirtualDj 8 must be logged in if you are using external controllers (or even external mixer audio setup) or some other features that require a PLUS/PRO license.

However VirtualDj 8 does not require an active internet connection to work.
For example, if before leaving home you made sure that VirtualDj 8 is logged in on your laptop, then going to the club without an internet connection would not cause any issues for you and the program would still function properly.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ok I'll give that ago.

I can see a feature issue here, what happens if for some reason the computer needs to reset and I can't connect to the net once it starts up again. It would then be back to only 10 min trial.

No, it stays logged in as long as you don't log in to VDJ from another PC. Doesn't matter if you restart or not.

Actually, it should be possible to have 2 PCs logged in at the same time.
So for you, your home PC and gig laptop should work fine.
Only if you log in from a 3rd machine, one of the other 2 machines will ask you to login again IF they ever get a internet connection.
And IF there is an internet connection, just login.

I can confirm 2 machines can be logged in at the same time. The only time you will be logged out on either of those 2 machines is if you manually log out or log in from a 3rd one.

Hi all ,
If I buy Vdj8Pro only for one laptop and I if I have plan to work on road in clubs, than will I have to be allways connect to net?
Vdj8 Pro with external mixer not work without logg???

I hope, that it is not problem for Pro Infinity..... right?

Not an issue, actually read this thread carefully.

You can send Atomix the details of the laptop you plan to use, and they will provide you with a .auz file to enable Internet free connection.
My laptop has the internet connection hardware disabled in the windows control panel. For a critical club laptop I feel this method is essential.

PS: I'm terrified of the net. I cannot afford, and do not get the slightest glitch. I associate the net with instability. If you want to download a song use a less important laptop, or phone. I use a phone, and Amazon. Each to his own. Adding a little more, my laptop has no internet defence, no antivirus, or firewall.

Thank you for advice,
so if I don"t need to download songs than Vjd8 Pro is running without problems wihout connect to internet.... right? :o)

The Internet is a risk which few top dj's would entertain. Stability is paramount.

Maybe we don"t understand, I expecting simply answer friends Yes or Not :o)

When I buy sotware ...Running Vdj8 Pro Infinity (price 299) with full functionality (not only 10 min. :o) but all night)... without connect to internet?
Thanks :o)

About 5 months ago I installed VDJ 8 without an Internet connection, and with the consent of Atomix.
I now feel that enabling a firewall, and antivirus program for the small amount of time needed to validate the licence is adequate. Then, immediately shut down the firewall, remove the antivirus program, and disable the internet connection hardware.

If you read carefully then the answer is simple:

You need to use an internet connection once in order to validate your license, log-in the software and "unlock" your PRO license features.
After you do so, you can shut off internet connection and VirtualDj will keep functioning as normal.
You won't have to use an internet connection in order to log-in any time you start VirtualDj or your laptop.

I hope it's all clear now! :)

You're buying the best dj software in the world.
I do not expect it to run for just 10 min. LOL.
This would not be allowed to happen.
It is stable, feature packed, and very, very good.

I am having problem with the mic not working wile broadcasting to radio server

My friend, I don't talking about installation without connect to internet.
After official buy after official installing .... then can I start and play whole night with Vdj8 Pro Infinity without login??
