Topic: Displaying a Custom message while broadcasting

Hi there,

I would like to display a custom message while boradcasting my weekly show. Something like "Friday Funk show". I have found out where to turn off the display of the song titles but cannot gind the commands to configure the display message.
I know it must be quite simple.

Select the gear cog next to text, it will display a text box.
 
Thanks for your quick response but what text bix are you referring to? and what is COG?
I am talking about what is displayed when i am broadcasting on radio. I have been through the advanced section of the VDJ8 config and can't see anything.

Sorry, we are talking about two different things. I thought you meant video display. I gather you are talking about internet radio, which I don't have a clue. I will watch this thread to learn something.
 
put this on one of your custom buttons when u want the message to display hit the button

broadcast_message 'Friday Funk show'
 
You also coud do something like:

broadcast_message 'Friday Funk show - %artist - %title (%genre)'

From now on all tracks are send like: Friday Funk show - Madonna - Hang up (House)

To go back to normal you just need to send broadcast_message ''
