I have not done much DJ work lately and trying to get back into it again. This weekend I have an event to do with about 100 military ages around 30+. Does anyone have any recommendations for some songs/remixes that will get the party started?

It also depends on where you are. If you are in an area where they listen to a lot of Country, you will need some Country. In New York, you will need some House and Urban. There are a ton of top 100 list available, you should have at least the top ten from each genre. Also keep in mind that even if you are in Texas, your guess may be from all over the country, so just be prepared.

you should play music from The Beatles for example " Yellow Submarine " something cool my fried ! Specially if more of your audience is over 30 years old.

Thanks for the link to the international chart site; it looks great! Though it would probably improve if they stopped calling one category "Black Music".

People may be starting to polarise. Around twenty years ago I had no concept of an issue related to colour. Nowadays I think some venues, and parties react better to white music, as opposed to black. It has become another hurdle for the dj to jump, good music alone is not enough.
The music masters trash charts are ensuring music racism is alive, and well.
