i have tried creating a new filter using bpmdiff<=4 & bpmdiff>=4 tho i'm not sure if i'm doing it right as i'm not getting compatible songs or anything for that matter, could you please give a step by step run down on this? thanks... DOZA

Just try
Bpm Difference < 5

that looks like what you are after.

What are you using V7 or 8?

Your top 2 commands conflict, like saying I only want to see things <1$ and I only want to see things> $1, so you see nothing like you requested

Ok V8 the best way to learn is see something working, study it and then mess around with it
(why I was excluded from medical school :-) )

So what you want is "my library"

It's got loads of filter folders already set up so you can see exactly how they work, in all honesty I don't see why this plugin isn't part of the install
 
thanks locodog... i used 7 years ago, but have just started using 8, very different
 
WOW?! Way complicated! i just want to be able to hit "compatible songs" and get it... like in previous version

maybe i'll just download VDJ 7 again, where this was free and easily accessible

Is there this version for VDJ7?
 
I don't think so, the problem is V7 doesn't handle nested Vfolders

Another good reason to upgrade.

It does if you edit the database file by hand but you need to know what you're doing... ;)
