I have tried to find the answer to this but had no luck so hoping someone can help me here!

I recently updated to vdj8 and generally love it, but i am having problem with cues.

I used to use the c button to drum in the first part of a track drumming on "c" till i wanted to introduce the track then holding down c and pushing space bar to continue to a blend.

however in vdj8 if i drum then hold down c after half a bar it repeats the first phrase as a stutter like "ca-ca-ca-ca-ca" instead of playing track... why is this? have searched and tried changing preferences but no joy..

help pls!!!!

Options search hotcueMode, set this to stutter. That might do it.
 
thanks loco dog, but i've tried that already... made no difference!
 
Ah right that's because your keyboard keys are r-r-r-repeating

What you want is to set up filter keys

or you could use isrepeat script to avoid the repeating.
 
Which action is mapped to both keys?
This shouldn't happen.
 
Sounds like he has his hotcue (on stutter) on C, and space as default play_pause.

*edit* try this, for your C key.

isrepeat ? nothing : hot_cue X
 
In vdj 7 there was no hot_cue play while pressed though. Good catch though, will fix hot_cue for keyboard use in next build.
