When I edit file names in an actual folder it doesn't update in the virtual folders. None of those that were edited can play from the virtual folder .. file error. Also, if i do a reset sort order on a folder containing virtual folders that action deletes all my virtual folders, why?

File names and paths are kept in a database. If you edit them outside of VDj, they are not updated in its database.
If your editing them one at a time, you can do that from within VDJ
If you use another program, like iTunes, then you need to add the files again after they are changed.
