Hi
i'm looking for a program that will let you find info about your music files
most important , year,artists and music style.
I actually keep all my music by music style
but most of my songs do not have any year info or music style.
i'd like to show a very large choice of music even if styles are not the same
but i dont want to spend time browsing folders in VDJ while i'm mixing.

I use Tag Scanner, it's free and has a whole host of other functions for correcting Tags... http://www.xdlab.ru/en/
The Tag Processor is where it will use various on line sources to try to ID the song and copy the appropriate information.

I do not know anything about tag scanner but I would be very careful about accurate information especially dates. Some songs may have been released in a certain year, 1977 for example, then re-released on a CD, 1990 for example. I have had instances where the information states the song was released in 1990 instead of its original date 1977.

What fallguy66 said. I'd never trust an automated tagging software with filling in data about my tracks.
