Topic: Remember Multi FX mode on startup

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Is there a way to let vdj remember to stay on 3 effects instead of just 1?
I find it annoying that i need to set this every time i startup vdj.

Thanks!

Are you taking about the skin or a controller issue?

*just tried the internal skin and that sticks, so it must be a controller* (is it?)

what are you using for midi to VdJ?

When you boot up Virtual dj its always set on just 1 Effect,i can set it to 3 effects with my controller or with mouse but i would like VDJ to remember to stay on 3 effects when i boot up the program.
Im using a Denon DJ MC6000MK2

You need to add the following script to the ONINIT key of your keyboard or controller mapping...
set '$fx1multi' 1 & set '$fx2multi' 1

Cant find anything called ONINIT on the keyboard or controller mapping.
But if i need to change a button it means i still need to press it before it changes into 3 effects?
i would like VDJ to do this by itself without pressing a button.

Thanks for the help so far everyone.

That's what ONINIT does. It's short for "on initializing" - in other words "when started". You can add it to your controller mapping, so that when VDJ starts up (and that controller is connected) the script will run. Alternatively you can add it to the XML of a skin, so that when the skin loads it runs the script.

Step 1.
Once keyboard is selected (and the mapping file you are using - if the default is not the one), scroll down to the bottom and add the ONINIT key ..

Step 2.
Write in the Action box the script i gave you in my previous post.
