effect_active "Loop Repeat" freezes the screen whenever the CUE button is pressed

Flanjet did something nasty to my vdj8 so I uninstalled it.
I can't remember what happen, but it might have froze, and that was just from activating the effect.
It was repeatable.
Reinstalling flanjet might have got around the problem, but why take a chance.

any fixes for Loop Repeat?

I doubt it's broken as such. If I wanted to get flanjet working I would clean out my VDJ folder, and gradually put back what is need. I downloaded all sorts of things. I'd keep an original copy of that folder on my desktop. I might reinstall VDJ8, and then finally in my case flanjet.
With everything nice, and clean I'm sure flanjet would run.
I suspect you might be able to do the same with looprepeat. It's a good effect.

I tried Loop Repeat active on two cpu's with the same issue. I appreciate what you say but it does not add up.

"Reinstalling flanjet might have got around the problem, but why take a chance"
Did flanjet worked for you afterward?

Yes, but I decided that I'd just use the flanger to be on the safe side.
It happened twice.
I fixed it the first time.

I use flanjet without any issues everyday ???

Yes I know.
I still had repeatable problems using VDJ8.
Those problems came from the VDJ folder in My Documents.
Something had been damaged, it could have been something I did, hardware such as the F1, or a software glitch on an oldish laptop.
Basically the cleaning of that folder would solve my problem.
That included a routine reinstall /repair of VDJ8, the reinstallation of Flanjet, and the reintroduction of the critical settings, and features that I wanted.
On the second occasion Win10 might have been involved. I upgraded, had a look around, and then went back to Win7.
I tend to keep things as basic as I can, complications can lead to a lack of reliability.
The Russians are normally the masters of simple design.
There's an old joke with a lot of truth in it, whilst the Yanks spent millions designing a pen that worked in outer space, the Russians just took pencils.

I remember better now, it was on my backup laptop, whilst running Denon cdj's, and using an F1.
I had 3 knobs, and a couple of buttons on my F1 controlling the effects.
All I had to do to crash vdj8 was press the button assigned to activate the effects whilst flanjet was in the slot, all the other effects were fine.
I can still have USB problems to this day with the above setup, however nowadays I can configure things in a few minutes.
In the past using Vista I've struggled to get the USB configured for as long as 15 minutes.
My MC6000, and its laptop has had no problems that come to mind.

We're back to the original question, on "Loop repeat" active, the technical guy Locodog can shed some light? please bro.

Did you try cleaning out the vdj folder?
I've got looprepeat running, and had no problems.

My bad I should be more detailed.
By itself it works, however when mapped active to a hot cue and pressing that hot cue the CPU freezes.

I should have read more carefully.
I'll try it.

What are you putting in the POI editor.
The point type is Action, and for a "n" beat loop this scrip works:
loop "n"
where "n" = the number of beats in the loop.
Why use an effect ?
