I,m sure this is not correct but if i set covers to No on Cover Download, cover flow, and showcoverfordrag, then when i load tracks i always get a pause before track starts loading, if however i set cover download to say exact, then i don't get any delay. Is that normal?
I could understand it delaying "loading covers" but when i ask it not to the delay is as if it goes to load, realises i set it to no then proceeds
And why do tracks still scan as loading when they have been pre scanned for gain/BPM etc?

I'm not seeing any delay here, so not sure why that would happen with coverdownload set to no.
When loading an already scanned track it is not scanned again. What makes you think that this is the case?

I definitely have a delay with cover not selected, and by " scanned again" i mean the waveform gradually loading, should that not just load in an instant if scanned already? Or is that not what its doing?

What you see is VDJ analysing & drawing the waveform of the audio. That's not stored anywhere, it's done live.
