"The database on drive Root: is corrupted. Do you want to fix it now?” That is the message I get whenever VDJ8 starts up. No Externals plugged in. Happy new year all. Made sure to copy database before I selecet yes. I selected yes and all my cues were gone. Replace database with the copy and same message returns. I’ve been selecting yes from 2015 and even though cues are still there the message keeps coming back at VDJ Start up. Any help? Thanks.

sounds like a possible failing drive

do you have any other files that are broken or error messages about corrupt files
might want to do a check disk if on windows.

or maybe somehow you database file is corrupt.

I have a cunning plan.....

Have you got another computer that you can use for a test?

Take the "corrupted" database file and (just to see) substitute the one on the other computer with it, to see if you get the same message.

Do the fix and see if it sticks on that computer.

I’m on a mac. Only have one. If i deleted the database the error message won’t reappear. Gonna try a earlier version of VDJ8.

I've just got the same message. I'm also on VDJ8. Tried analysing drive again for Bpm etc but still get on start up. I'm pressed fix it but nothing happens. Any ideas on what I need to do please?

Yes i was able to resolve the corrupt database error message by reinstalling a older built, 2587 to be exact. luckily i still had it in my backups. They have remove all links to older versions.

Older builds can be accessed from here.

I had that message 2 weeks ago because i kinda edited the file the wrong way..
All i did was "not repair it"
Once vdj is opened i "removed missing files from search DB"
it worked, for me. Got back all my files with the cues.

I moved your question to the thread that you started. Please do not post the same question in multiple post, Thank you.

Is there a fix for this corrupt database bug? please explain the fix.
Thank you

Any news on how to fix this issue I have had it now for around 2 months?

I just had the same issue on an external drive clicking 'fix now' did nothing. The only way I was able to resolve it was to move all the files of the drive, delete any references to VDJ database on the drive, Then put all the files back on it.

Whilst my issue was with an external drive I would assume the same principle would apply to any drive.
