Is anybody else having trouble with the setting for karaokeBackgroundVolume?
While using the karaoke mode, I have tried setting karaokeBackgroundVolume at 0.50 and 0.25 and i have not been able to make a difference in volume. The background tracks just play at the same volume as the regular karaoke tracks.
I have tried different combinations of starting the karaoke automix and changing the setting. Or stopping karaoke automix and changing the setting. Restarting the software with the new setting. Nothing seems to work for me.
Is there something that i am missing? Is this an incomplete feature to be fixed in a future update?
Please help me to understand how this feature works.

Why can't you turn down or up the volume in the player that they are playing in?

I can manually do the volume, but I believe that defeats the purpose of an automatic setting.

Are you using any external mixer/gear ?
What is your Audio configuration/setup ?

I am just using my Headphones out and going to a mixer that way. The volume is up all the way on the headphone jack.
Would this work differently if i used my external sound card? I do have a Steinberg U22 USB audio interface kicking around here somewhere. I only use that for recording music though. I try to keep my DJ setup as minimal as possible because i DJ at several bars around the city.

Minimal effort gets minimal results. You are coming out of the headphone jack, from your computer, going into the mixer how, both L & R going into one channel of the mixer? Or, left going into one channel, and right going into another channel? Or, is there a Y jack in there somewhere?

It is a Stereo headphone jack, splitting the signal in to Left and Right signals in a mixer. The mixer is a stereo mixer. The levels from both left and right are evenly dispersed at the same volume. But the volume does not reduce for the background karaoke music.
I have not tried the external USB audio interface yet, because i would like to resolve the problem without involving an expensive external card added to my fairly simplified setup. I would rather see if it is possible to reduce the volume just using the headphone jack and the Virtual DJ software.

I can do separate volumes in 2 separate channels. I can do 2 volumes in one stereo channel. It is all the same level wise.
