Left when 8 1st came out, didn't like a lot of the changes, soft takeover, etc. Recently got sick and fed up with Serato DJ with my pc and reinstalled VDJ using a ddj-sz. Could not be happier.. ran an 8 hour gig with ZERO... ZERO glitches... Full video running, several apps in the background... YEAH.... LOVE IT AGAIN.

I never left, but since the release of v8 and the lack bringing over some of the better parts of v7 more so into the video side of things left me totally frustrated and unwilling to use v8, so I was left stewing with v7 while still seeing the advantages of v8.
That frustration has, over the last couple of weeks, just about disappeared thanks in no small way to the help of Babis, Dan and Scott (in no particular order). Finally with a bit of perseverance and help from the team there is now movement starting to show on the video sampler, soon hopefully it will start to realise it's full potential.
It would be great if some of the stuff that I have had implemented into my skin will become part of the "package" for all users and not just left to individual skinners too implement into their own skins.
The future is looking bright... so I'm gonna wear shades!

The original skin is there but without the amendments, I will check with Dan to make sure it's ok to make it freely available, or at least have it put up in the skins download section for you (as long as there is no conflict of interest).

I would really REALLY love to be able to drop a video onto another mp4/mp3 just like V7... wow I miss that.

It is possible, but you will have to do it before starting the deck.
Maybe that will change in a future release, because a lot of people already complaint about not beeing able to do it "on-the-fly".
