Apparently over 400 songs Ive recently loaded into VDJ are only titled TRACK 15 or TRACK 07 etc. therefore VDJ does not seem to find them when I type in the name of the song. I didn't know this was a problem because I have been using PCDJ that somehow is able to read the file name as SHAKE YOUR TAILFEATHER by NELLY and it showed it when I searched and I could play it. VDJ does not so I am without the ability to search for hundreds of my best songs without taking hours and hours to rename all the files. Is there not a work around here. Painful because my PCDJ software is 6 years old but reads these..HEEEEELP I have a gig coming up.

First, there is a tool called MP3Tag which is able to do a batch rename / retag.
There is an option to get tags from filename.
Second, you could enable the filename or filepath option in VDJ's search options. Just click on the small cog or dot right next to the searchbox and check that option.
Finally, you are able to retag your files with the tag editor inside VirtualDJ.
