Hi! Can anybody list controllers that could be set in external mixer mode with vdj8.2 ? I think Pioneer DDJ-SZ was mentioned in an older post. So feel free to fill in the list:

1. Pioneer ddj-sz

What you want to know is which controllers use an External Mixer Audio configuration in VirtualDJ or controllers that can also operate as stand-alone mixers (without a computer connected) ??

Hello. Sorry for not being so clear from the begining. I want to know wich controller can be set in external mixer configuration with Virtualdj. I think the controller has to have two or four stereo channels wich are (hardware) routed to mixer's channel. And I give you an example of one controller that can be used like a standalone mixer but it can't be used in external mixer configuration with Virtualdj: Pioneer DDJ-SX2.
I saw some pictures with Pioneer DDJ-RR wich has on the backside a 'PC MIX' mode switch and I was wondering if this controller support external mixer configuration with Virtualdj. Thanks.

Denon MC6000 Mk1

There aren't many that work in external mode any more.

American Audio VMS 4.x

Vestax VCI-400

No, the DDJ-RR has a Master & Headphones configuration, but works as a standalone mixer (well, just the Volume faders and Crossfader).
But really the VDJ configuration shouldnt be the question here..
And still not sure what you are after.
Do you want the mixer to have its own Equalizer and Filter, so that you dont use the VDJ ones ?
Do you want the unit to offer an Input to use/play some external media source as a backup solution ?
Do you want to be able to mix 2 analog sources without even the computer connected ?

Thanks for the answers gus. I want to use virtualdj in external mixer audio setup. I have now pcdj dac3 midi controller, denon dn-x500 mixer and esi u46se soundcard. I use them all in external mixer audio setup. Chan 1&2 of the soundcard feeding channel 1's input of the mixer (deck1). Chan 3&4 of the soundcard feeding channel 2's input of the mixer (deck2). In this configuration I don't use virtualdj's internal mixer, I use the standalone mixer (for 0 latency response). I was hoping that those shiny new controllers can be used in external mixer audio setup too without using an external soundcard. I played around with ddj-sx2 in master/headphone audio configuration but I felt like a downgrade in use (especially the gain adjust). So, maybe I didn't make myself clear (not a native english speaker) but I hope you understand now what I am looking for... I believe someone from staff, someone who made mappers for the new generation controllers could tell me wich controller can be set up in external mixer audio setup (in virtualdj config). For now I see that only ddj-sz can be used in that mode. The other controllers mentioned above (mc6000, vms4 and vestax) are obsolete in my opinion. Thanks.

Ok, i see now..
Well the best options here are DDJ-SZ and DDJ-RZ, along with XDJ-RX, VMS5 and the previously mentioned older units.
I ll try to find more units offering audio mixing on the hardware side and post here.
I could also list some 4ch mixers , but i assume you are after a all-in-one solution to replace all the units you are currently using, right ?

Yes, thank you. Do you know if Denon mcx8000 support external mixer audio config with Virtualdj?

No, mixing is done on the software side with the MCX8000.

Theres the oem stuff...like voxoa m70 mixer or the C60 controller

Interesting - I did not know that the SZ/RZ could be routed as an external mixer. That just got my attention as I much prefer using an external mixer to a software setup and I've been assuming for awhile now that I couldn't go back to an all-in-one solution because of that...

Also, just to clarify something above, the VCI-400 was a software mixer, not a hardware mixer. As with most new controllers, it was only hardware for external audio sources.
