The ones that sound best to you, will be the best choice. You will get different answers from everyone. The only headphone that I will use, is the one that sounds good to me. I only use single lollipop headphones that I make, or someone else makes. I am not looking for audiophile headphones, because I am only using them to cue a track, not listen to for any length of time. If you are using these for more than cueing, my advice is to check them out personally for sound, fit, connection type, and aesthetics.

That's a tough one. Some guy will tell you to buy this or that, and when you get them in the mail, they may not sound good, have a problem fitting you, and may be ugly. Where do you live, in one of the Dakotas or Mojave Desert?

C'mon, they don't have a Guitar Center or something where you live? What is the "upper west side", your town doesn't have a name?

So, I use Amazon a lot. Not too much for DJ stuff, unless it's on sale. I like to touch my DJ stuff before I buy it. For general stuff, I look at the ratings that others post. I own the Numark lollipop. It sounds good, but I don't like the way it feels (the head swivels too much), so it is under the passenger seat in the van as a backup. Compare the two ratings of these headphones, and see what others think. You will not get 400 ratings on a headphone, on this forum. Order, and see which one you like. Amazon has a good return policy, as long as it's within 30 days. Look here. or here only 9 reviews.

If you can't decide, just get the most popular.
Sennheiser HD25. It's number one.
"Unarguably the most consistently popular single model in the DJ world" - djtechtools.
