Topic: VDJ8.2 & Pioneer Question

Getting ready to re-launch my new system and I have a question. I have a Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.5/Safari, Pioneer DJM-900,& 2 Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus players. I've had to download firmware with previous versions of VDJ, but wondering if there is any info I need to know when upgrading to VDJ8.2? Do I still need firmware? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance!

Regardless of being supported, the firmware of the cdj's still has to be up to date in order for everything to work properly.
 
I think he means VDJ mappers rather than firmware for the units themselves.

I believe it was firmware updates when i had 7.4 for Virtual.
 
Irrespective of that .... just check the Pioneer website to see the units are running the latest version of the Pioneer firmware (and update if required) then check the VDJ list of supported controllers. If they are on the list then nothing else required.

Thank you for the link! Yes, my system shows it is supported. What I have to do is find out what (or if any) firmware or mapping downloads I need.

Thank you for that! This is what it shows...Do I need to DL all 3 and drop them on my Macbook Pro?

Read the manual for the units to see how it displays the current firmware version. If a newer version is required then the install instructions will be included with the download.
 
I think I have the link I need for all the information. Thanks everyone! Any additional info I should know? :-)
