Topic: Turntable break effect

I can't seem to find out if there's a way to get the break effect you'd get from hitting the stop button on a turntable, in VDJ8. I'm using it with a Numark NV. Is that something it can't do, or is it a limitation on the NV?

You can use the "brake start" effect thats already included in VDJ.
Another option is to setup VDJ to act like if it was based on turn tables

You can install the SlipBrake8 Addon, click the gear icon button (effect show gui), click on SL1210 and click Wait to enable these (turns green), now it's ready to be used as a brake effect. To avoid the song from playing after the stop, just drop the channel after the brake sound and the wait should give you enough time, since this effect resumes the song where it would have been if you didn't use the effect. The reason I prefer this method is because it sounds more like a real Technics 1200 turntable.
