I recently had to get a new laptop and installed VirtualDJ 8 on it. I am trying to figure out how to access the information for the songs in my library (most specifically play count numbers) and am not having any luck. I can see them in version 7 but not in version 8 and do not know how to fix that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Go to Documents> VirtualDJ folder
Close all running sessions of VDJ
Rename database.xml to database.xml.old
Assuming you have version 7 installed and working correctly, restart version 8 and it should automatically create a new database.xml with all your current version 7 information carried over.

I tried your suggestion but nothing has changed. They still show up in version 7 but not in version 8

Not unless something has gone wrong with the database conversion, I can't test as none of my machines have version 7 any more.
It definitely worked for me but that was a long time ago.
Perhaps someone who has both versions could try this and advise?

I think I figured it out. I uninstalled both versions and reinstalled and all seems to showing properly now. Thank you for your help.
