What are all of you using out there for a mixer? I am in the market for one. I would like to keep it at $125 or less for one since I am still just a newbie.
Also, how do I plug in the mixer to my desktop and my desktop speakers? I don't have an amp and pro speakers yet.

Check out the American Audio line... I use a couple of those in a couple of the bars I work at, I like them fine. Or look at the Numark series...

There are so many of these babies to choose from than there were just a few years ago [:o)
I like the American Audio 3 channel (MX-1 or 2).
Pros
====
- 3 Channel, 3rd ch comes in real handy for extra MIC or MD player.
- The most versitile channel assignment I've seen, push button ease.
- XLR outputs, good for Powered Speaker setups.
- Cool color status lights
Cons
====
Frequency response is a little questionable... lacks warmth... maybe they've improved this by now.

How about the Behringer DX052 2-Channel Pro DJ Mixer with BPM Counter? It's $99.99 at The Guitar Center. What do you think for a beginner like me?

why do you need a BPM-counter? You've got VDJ and I guess you ain't spinning with vinyl because otherwise you would take a 4 channel mixer.
