Using VDJ8, Win7 with Denon MCX8000 for a couple of years. Today the pads don't light where my cue points are.
Any ideas.

So your MCX8000 pads still trigger Hotcues, but their Leds are off ?
Same if you switch to a different Pads page/mode and back to Hotcues ?
Do you happen to have a hotcues.xml in /Documents/VirtualDJ/Pads ? If so, delete the file and try again.
