Topic: Roland DJ-505 looping on its own.

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Last night the right deck on my Roland DJ-505 started looping on its own... it was like watching a ghost set an in point and out point, i had to stop the event 15 min early because it was getting worse... Ive had the controller about a month, and i updated VDJ a few days ago... I am using (MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) w 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 16g DDR3 my OS is High Sierra 10.13.6... Ive had no issues with VDJ 2020 until this last update, i don't believe its the controller. Please help, i'll be screwed playing Halloween this weekend.

54 views and no comment from anyone??? I just talked to a friend in Florida who is having the same issue.

Well, the most obvious reason IS the controller. Especially if this occurs only on one deck.
I would try to reproduce the issue with the settings window open at the controllers tab. There you should be able to see all recent keypresses VirtualDJ detects from your controller.
So, if you see it suddenly looping and loop relative keys pressed (without you actually using them) it will be obvious that your controller is missbehaving.

Would help if you could reproduce the issue at home and/or even better create and share a video showing this issue.
A loop can be triggered with various loop actions, but also from enabled Saved loops or Action POIs, but definitely not without any of these triggered/enabled.

I tried the DJ-808 a year ago. I loved the concept of it, but it was VERY buggy in VDJ ( sync and shift functions caused glitches and freezes)

I would honestly return it if you still can IF VDJ is your primary software. I've seen lots of build quality/durability problems mentioned in forums.

Good luck to you

And have you reported any of these in our Forums or Support ?
