What folder is Tag Info, Play Count, Year, etc? I set up another laptop and thought I had copied everything but 100s of tracks are missing a lot.

Tag info is on on the actual tracks, but usually only read when you add them, and the stored in the database.xml
The other VDJ related info - like playcount - is also in the database.xml file
Remember that you have more than one database.xml file if you have external drives

Ok. I copy pasted the database over to the new laptop again. I'm still missing a lot of info that is on the original laptop. Would you delete the entire music library and redo

Any more advice would be great. I deleted the music and database on the new laptop. Recopied both and i still have a lot of genres and play counts missing.

Is your music on your C drive, or another one? If another one did you also copy the database from the other drive?

They're both on C drive. I believe the string is the same. I'll check.

Just copy the entire documents virtualdj folder from the old machine and make sure your music is in the same folder location

I'm about a hundred tag edits in by now. I only have another hundred tracks to go. An afternoon of work.
