Topic: How to change BPM without changing the Pitch?
I just updated to VDJ 2021 and now when I change the BPM with the PITCH slider it's changing the speed AND the pitch. Before the update it only changed the tempo (BPM) which is what I want.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

Found the setting under Options:

Controls -> Master Tempo -> Yes

Self explanatory. NOT.

I’ve used that to good effect on some of my podcasts - particularly the DJ Beats ones - helps if the BPMs aren’t too disproportionate to each other! Click on my name above, then Podcasts, to see what I mean - or search in iTunes for Arthurvasey’s VirtualDJ Podcasts!

This would have a been a whole lot easier to answer if you knew the difference between Key and Pitch.

That's the problem though. The words are kind of interchangeable in the DJ world. Key and pitch both describe the sound frequency of the note(s). i.e. what key are you singing in vs what pitch are you singing?

The pitch control would be better called the tempo control. These days it only changes the pitch (freq of the music) if the key lock / pitch lock is off.
