ddj 1000 works fine on asus G53 series i think, can't remember!

You need to download and install the correct drivers for your MAC OS
Also you need to allow the drivers to execute via [System Preferences] > [Security & Privacy]
It's all on the manual:

Please note that Pioneer offers two different drivers for MAC OS.
1) For Big Sur
2) For Catalina or earlier
So you need to choose the correct ones
Also you need to allow the drivers to execute via [System Preferences] > [Security & Privacy]

Did you make sure to unblock the driver? something macOS often do.. .

On M1/Big Sur, you may also need to enable Kernel extensions too - in case you dont see the "Allow" button in Security tab of System Preferences.

click the Pad lock icon at bottom left corner to be able to allow
