Hi there
So I have many Hebrew titled songs in VDJ, some of them I see just fine, but some appear as gibberish which forces me to manually change hundreds of track names. is there some kind of patch or anything that could help me with that? see example attached. (using a macbook pro 2015)

Can you check in the Tag Editor if the problem is with the tag of the files, or with the filename?

with the tag, the file name appears normally

Most likely your tags are not UTF encoded, but ASCII.
I can't think of any easy way to fix this though.
In the past I had used Tag & Rename to convert all my ASCII tags to Unicode and I think it still can be used to do this job. However, Tag & Rename is not free, but it has a fully functional 30 days days demo which should be more than enough to get you going..

Wouldn't a batch Tag editor >> "Get Artist/Title From FileName"
do the job?

Depends on how his filenames are set. Also this won't convert/read other data like album e.t.c.
The batch process >> "Get Artist/Title From FileName" is good when your files have no tags at all and you want a quick way to fill in the 2 most important and basic fields.
