Hello all,
I've already raised the issue a few months ago here in the forum, unfortunately without success. Now I wanted to tackle it again because I still can't upload podcasts.
I can start an "audio" broadcast without problems - firewall is open and everything works. But if I start only a "Podcast" broadcast - nothing happens. no upload after stopping the podcast.
I guess I'm doing something wrong, the instructions don't really help, so please explain to me exactly, ideally step by step, what I have to do from the start, e.g.
1. start Virtual DJ
2. go to settings -> broadcast -> podcast -> start broadcast
3. start mix
4. finish mix
5. go to settings -> Broadcast -> Podcast -> Stop Broadcast
6. etc.
Those would be the logical steps in my eyes, but nothing happens there for me. I have also started the Audio -> Start Broadcast before the Podcast -> Start Broadcast and then stopped it at the end in different orders, but still absolutely nothing happens, also no error is visible.
What am I doing wrong?

When you stop podcast, what message do you get in BROADCAST tab of VirtualDJ Settings ?
"Do you see podcast upload complete" or "still uploading" ?

There is no message - nothing appears

No, I never saw the status uploading. also the time is always at 0 seconds, nothing changes.
Is my above mentioned step by step order correct?

looks right, question what's your HW?
Inviato Tue 05 Oct 21 @ 3:24 pm
I tried different. MacBook Pro (2020), Windows 10 PCs etc.
But if I do everything right, why is the time not running?

no controller?
Inviato Tue 05 Oct 21 @ 4:02 pm
Ahh, you mean my controller. I have a Hercules Universal DJ.
It´s only working when the controller is connected?

no, just checking if you had a HW [perdeck] device waiting for sound [turns out that doesn't matter for podcast]
Best I can think of is some sort of mac security issue, but I don't know macs.

My main pc is a Windows 10 pc, so I don´t think that it´s a security issue

Is there anything else about the configuration that I need to consider?
And again the question why the time is not running?

Does normal recording work?
If the time doesn't increment that usually means there is a problem with the audio configuration. (perhaps non-functional record entry)

If you mean file recording, yes, that works.
Audio config? That´s my config

No other ideas?
What I can say is that when I start a podcast, I see "Initialize...." for a millisecond, but after that, as I said, absolutely nothing happens.

But you do see 'Total Time:' ? but nothing underneath?
Inviato Wed 06 Oct 21 @ 6:26 am
I see Total Time - always 0 seconds - time is not running
Inviato Wed 06 Oct 21 @ 6:37 am
I only see this - the whole time - nothing changes, even when I stop the Podcast broadcast

Inviato Wed 06 Oct 21 @ 6:41 am
Again my question. It´s enough to select Podcast and then to click on Start Broadcast - no more steps necessary?
Inviato Wed 06 Oct 21 @ 1:18 pm
No one can help?
