I am using a DDJ-400 with the newest version of VDJ. There is only 1 premade skin to use, it works great but missing lots of functions - wish there were other options. Struggling to figure out how to assign my own samples to the pads and to get the volume right so its not blaring using the skin. All the videos online is using the 400 with record box. Any ideas?
Also if there are others using the 400, I would love to connect to see if you have found any tricks I haven't yet.

Skin used would make little to no difference in the regards you mention.

To add samples, simply drag and drop into sampler slots.
