More and more people think the PC is their property and want to look, to see what is next and even scroll!! ...is there anyway to blank the screen with a logo on a hot key?

No but you can lock it with the standard Windows Ctrl+Alt+del then enter

I suppose it's that well oiled lady who would like you to "play something good"? She was in my place last week.

Dunno about PCs, but, on a Mac in the screen saver settings, you can setup "hot corners". I have a corner where moving the mouse cursor into the corner triggers the screen saver. It has a message asking for "Touch ID" or "Enter password" and also a message that "CCTV recording is in progress". Handy if you need to step away from the computer.
I have a boot camped Mac with Windows 10, I've had a look but I'm not familiar with the PC settings.

Windows can be set to the lock screen, with key combo:
WinKey + L
and then unlocked with your PC's password.
