Who can we get a new syphon plugin from??

Although it seems there has been some work on making Syphon compatible with Metal, the latest public release is still from 2019 before that work started.

I'm not sure if it uses the unreleased code from Syphon or if it converts from Metal to OpenGL though, so performance may not be optimal.

From our side, we will probably have a mac version of the NDI plugin, I don't know if that would work with the other software you want to use?

Yes, but will require some updates within VirtualDJ too, so has to wait for next VirtualDJ update

NDI-Receive is now available through Extensions for Apple Silicon macs and should work with current VDJ.
NDI-Send will be added later (requires a VDJ update)

Ok I’ll have to wait for the Send to get finished because I want to send VDJ into Mix Emergency.

Ah yes, the name of the source is always "VirtualDJ", so probably can't tell them apart.

Anyway to rename the plug-in? Like SENDER2 for example 🤷🏾‍♂️

No, it's not based on the plugin name, but I'll update soon so that when used on deck it adds the deck number to the NDI name to make it recognizable.

Still doesn’t show up at 2 different Sends.

Only 1 instance of VDJ shows up in Mix Emergency.





The name is the same for both decks
