Playing Spotify on my DJ computer is just fine. But once I open Virtual DJ , the Spotify sound stops. Is there a way around this issue?

turn off exclusive audio access
if you have it on so you can adjust latency of your controller that will go back to default

Go in the Virtual DJ Audio Setup and toggle the Output from Asio to WASAPI. The Audio Latency i slower than. But you can use parallel other Aplications with your Soundcard.

Just curios, AFAIK Spotify stopped supporting VDJ some time ago. How are you still using it on VDJ?

The OP is using it from the web browser, not VDJ.
